These days street art has become a major artistic force, and this is certainly the case in Germany. Resident in Hamburg, the artist known as “1010” has been active for more than a decade.
One of this artists trademark motifs is colourful illusions that create a cave-like hole on the surface it is painted on. To create these works, the artist begins with paper models by layering stacks of paper in specific colour palettes which are then translated into paint.
Keep your eyes open, as the artist has used this technique in surprising number of places across the globe, including both interior and exterior walls and even on an abandoned highway in Paris.
