CORNET (collective research networking) Call for Proposals is Currently Open for SMEs

CORNET (COllective Research NETworking) is a network of ministries and funding agencies that combine their existing funding schemes with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). On this basis CORNET supports new funding organisations around the world in order to promote Collective Research.

Participation in a CORNET project allows SMEs, associations or groups and research organisations, to build an international network and benefit from know-how and resources that might not be available in their country or region. CORNET has had high rates of success and short time to contract.

Since June 13, 2016 CORNET has been open for proposals, and submissions can be made up until September 28, 2016.

The assessment process considers (among other things) the following attributes for proposals:

  • A well balanced partnership
  • Values added through cooperation
  • Technological capacity
  • Managerial capacity
  • Methodology and Approach
  • Cost and Financing structure
  • Clarity of innovation objectives and methodology
  • Relevance of technological achievements
  • Economic potential
  • Strategic importance of project
  • Valorisation strategy
  • Transnational value addedd.

The CORNET coordination activities are financially supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
